Job Title: Surveying & Geomatics Engineer
Location: Doha, Qatar
Employer: Infrastructure Engineering & Consultancy Firm (active in civil and agricultural projects)
Contract Type: Full-time, one-year contract (renewable)
Start Date: 4 to 8 weeks after visa approval
Role Overview
The Surveying & Geomatics Engineer will be responsible for conducting both terrestrial and drone-based surveys for civil, agricultural, and urban development projects. The role includes establishing static control networks, Ground Control Points (GCPs), and generating accurate 3D terrain models to support design and construction activities.
The position also involves processing GNSS data, photogrammetry outputs, and terrestrial laser scanner data using specialized industry software. The successful candidate will prepare precise technical drawings in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, operate DJI drones, and work with Leica or Trimble surveying equipment. Additional responsibilities include volumetric calculations, topographic analysis, and structural mapping.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, or Geodesy
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in large-scale projects
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Leica Infinity, Pix4D, Metashape, Trimble Business Center (TBC), and Leica Geo Office (LGO)
- Practical experience in drone operation, aerial data processing, and map production
- Solid understanding of cartography principles, route and alignment design, and 3D modeling
- Working proficiency in technical English

- Monthly salary: QAR 17,000
